Terms of Reference
Purpose
As a partnership to:
1. Prepare the area of Somerset for the CAA.
2. Build a collective relationship with the Comprehensive Area Assessment Lead, Auditors and other
Inspectorates as appropriate.
3. Be recognised as an effective group in positioning Somerset to respond to the demands of CAA.
4. Share and seek best practice and offer appropriate peer challenge and support.
5. Promote shared understanding of CAA across Somerset.
6. Advocate the mutual benefits of working in partnership. Build upon strengths and foster
improvement.
7. To facilitate a co-ordinated response to issues raised in the Area Assessment.
9. To provide strategic support to Somerset Performance Officers Group ( SPOG) where requested
or a need is identified.
