There are over 20 organisations represented in the Somerset Strategic Partnership (SSP) from across the public, business and community and voluntary sectors.
The structure of the SSP is illustrated in the diagram below:
All member organisations attend the Forum meetings which are held two times a year and provide direction and accountability to the work of the Partnership.
The Joint Board ensures that the Partnership is on track to deliver what is expected of it on behalf of the Forum.
The Joint Executive Team co-ordinate high level planning and delivery across themes. They have a clear focus on themes and outcomes and are driven by a collective will to collaborate and innovate.
Members of the SSP also chair the various thematic sub groups which are attended by the partner organisations and are responsible for delivering the Sustainable Community Strategy aims and actions. The sub groups also monitor performance against the measures of success.
There are also Delivery / Supporting Groups and Partnerships which support all the sub groups and the aims of the Sustainable Community Strategy, leading on issues of bringing people closer together, all aspects of culture and longer term planning for Somerset. The five District Local Strategic Partnerships also support the SSP.
