A 'partnership of all partnerships' providing the framework within which other partnerships operate, bringing together representatives from thematic, sectoral and geographical partnerships.
What:
• Contributes to the development of the long term vision.
• Provides a forum for deliberation and evaluation.
• Influences the priorities and work of the SSP and reviews and celebrates its achievements.
Who:
The Forum is an inclusive body with representation drawn from the public, private and voluntary and community sectors. It includes regional and county wide bodies and the key partnerships and deliverers of the Sustainable Community Strategy and LAA.
Membership provides for representation from:
• Democratically elected representatives and officers from County and District Councils
• District LSPs
• Duty to co-operate partners
• Regional and national bodies e.g. Audit Commission, Government Office for the South West (GOSW)
• Voluntary and community sector
• Business sector
• Equalities groups
When:
Bi-annually.
Chair:
Independent chair, appointed annually.
