Step 8 – June 2008
Vision developed and reaffirmed.
Following the signing off of the outline of the new strategy, it was time to look again at the vision – did it still do what was needed?
To consider the Vision and its accuracy, in June 2008 the Somerset Strategic Partnership (SSP) held a “Visioning Day” drawing some very useful information from a report produced following the Student Forum Conference on “Somerset’s Future” held in the previous March. The day was attended by SSP Forum Members and other Duty to Co-operate partners were invited.
A series of meetings were independently organised for Focus Groups made up of local people from different towns across Somerset to validate the conclusions of the Visioning Day.
