now and into the future - some may be at little or no cost, others with the potential to release significant savings, others requiring some investment which can be recouped from savings.
Proposals for change are likely to range from:
- Those that can be delivered locally in the next 12-18 months if approved.
- Those that can be delivered in the medium to longer term of 2-5 years.
- Proposals involving pooling of resources and requiring organisational change.
- Those requiring change at central government or legislative level would be long term changes.
The work will identify how proposed changes will improve outcomes for local people as well as delivering better services at less cost.
